Negative self-talk

Do you argue for your limitations or engage in negative self-talk?

These are two of the most common forms of self-sabotage.

Interesting article from Psychology Today that popped up into my feed that delves a little deeper into these two thought traps.

Takouts from the article are:

Instead of arguing for your limitations, try arguing for your right to live well. This will open up the solution -generating part of your brain to come up with idea and ways to overcome your limitations

Try replacing negative self-talk with more compassionate statements to yourself. Choose phrases that are hopeful, but not absolute. Thereby making them more believable so you buy into their truth.
