Supporting the mental health of your workers

Left untreated, stress, anxiety and depression can worsen dramatically and quickly in the workplace.

Minds over Matters provides courses and support for your business and its employees with a range of internationally renowned courses in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) with qualified friendly energetic course instructors led by Ben Fillery.

The impact of mental ill health at work

Stress, anxiety and depression are major contributors to sickness absence and levels of presenteeism in the workplace. In most cases symptoms are mild but if left untreated, worsen over time. So, it’s very important to identify early on when a co-worker is at risk of poor mental health.

Mental Health First Aid courses can help your employees spot the signs of mental ill health. These courses provide an understanding of the different risk and protective factors of mental health. Delegates will be armed with information on resources that can provide suitable professional help in order to help colleagues access support to help them recover and fulfil their potential.

What is Mental Health First Aid?

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training set of courses, designed to teach people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis.

In the same way as learning physical first aid, MHFA teaches people how to recognise those crucial warning signs of mental ill health and feel confident to guide someone to appropriate support.
